This painting reminds me of a comment someone said to me the other day. Quote 'Oh the drip background, soo... highschool... It's ok, you'll grow out of it.' This stopped me in my tracks. I thought to myself of all the beautiful art in the world, and of the portion of beautiful works involving some sort of 'drip' effect. I'm glad that you didn't 'grow out' of the 'drip' effect as this painting just wouldn't be the same without it. Such an effective smooth look with the small detail on her arm. Truly amazing.
